Introduction of Multilingual Tourist Helpline:
In the interest of foreign tourists visiting India, the Indian Ministry of Tourism has introduced a toll-free multilingual tourist helpline for foreign tourists visiting India.
This helpline is launched in 12 languages namely Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese Portuguese, Russian and Spanish including Hindi & English. This service is available on the toll free number 1800111363 or on a short code 1363 and operates 24X7 (365 days a year). The aim of this multilingual helpline is to provide information about travel and tourism in India to the domestic and international tourists. The helpline also advises callers during times of emergency, if any, while traveling in India and alerts the concerned authorities if necessary.

Important Information: Applicants who wish to apply for an Intern / Research Visa and students who wish to apply for an Entry Visa / Work Visa are requested to contact the Visa Center in advance.

BERLIN and MUNICH: All applicants of the following visa types tourist / business visa with a validity of 5 years are subject to biometrics. Applicants can only apply for a visa in person at the visa office.
